He said after the first meeting of his new cabinet in Victoria that the tariffs are “unjustified,” and they would hurt Americans as much as they would Canadians. The premier said B.C. is a source of natural gas, wood products, minerals and other products that U.S. businesses depend on, and the tariff would hinder jobs and opportunities in the province while making “life more expensive for Americans.” Eby and Ottawa have called for a united front dealing with Trump’s tariff plan, which he announced on social media on Monday. Eby said B.C. officials had repeatedly raised concerns with Ottawa over organized crime and illicit drugs, such as fentanyl, in relation to border security. “It’s a priority for us. One of the key matchups will be the Texans’ pass rush against a Tennessee offensive line that has allowed 33 sacks, 27 with QB Will Levis in the game. Since returning from a sprained AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder two weeks ago, Levis has completed 64.8% of his passes (35 of 54) for 470 yards with three TD passes and only one interception. The upset-minded Panthers will need to rely heavily upon RBs Chuba Hubbard and rookie Jonathon Brooks, the team’s second-round draft pick who is expected to make his NFL debut. Hubbard is coming off a career-high 153-yard rushing performance against the Giants prior to the bye. The Chiefs suffered their first loss last week against Buffalo. So Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes should be plenty motivated when he faces a Carolina secondary that has allowed opposing QBs to complete 69% of their passes and 18 TD passes this season. The Dolphins will bring their first two-game win streak of the season into Sunday’s game. Miami beat the Patriots without QB Tua Tagovailoa in Week 5. The Patriots also did not have QB Drake Maye at that point. Tagovailoa, who is playing this time, has not lost to New England, going 6-0 in his career. The Dolphins are only allowing 199 yards passing per game and have not given up 100 yards rushing in four straight games. Miami struggles to contain mobile quarterbacks though, and Maye has rushed for at least 20 yards in each of his past four outings. The Giants will have a new quarterback when they play host to the Buccaneers. Giants coach Brian Daboll benched Daniel Jones as the team returned from a bye week and will start Tommy DeVito, who has not played this season. The Giants have lost five straight and are winless in five games at home. The Baker Mayfield-led Bucs also are coming off a bye. They have lost four straight with the past two coming against the Chiefs and the 49ers. Tampa Bay WR Mike Evans returned to practice this week after sitting out three full games and much of a fourth because of a hamstring injury. Both teams are on a losing streak: The Commanders have dropped two in a row and the Cowboys have lost five straight. Washington is a double-digit favorite against Dallas for the first time since at least 2003. Commanders coach Dan Quinn faces the Cowboys for the first time since serving as their defensive coordinator the past three seasons. Dallas’ star pass rusher Micah Parsons has six of his 43 1/2 career sacks against Washington, more than any opponent. QB Anthony Richardson made a triumphant return to the Colts’ lineup last weekend against the Jets after being benched two games. The Lions are the third team in the Super Bowl era to win at least three of their first 10 games by 35 points or more. Detroit’s All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been nearly flawless of late, setting a franchise record with a TD catch in eight consecutive games. He caught all 11 passes thrown his direction last week and 24 of the 26 over the past three weeks. Denver ended an eight-game losing streak to the Raiders with its victory in October. The Broncos are 0-4 at Allegiant Stadium. Broncos QB Bo Nix is piling up the accolades, winning both AFC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week. And WR Courtland Sutton has four consecutive games with at least 70 receiving yards Raiders TE Brock Bowers is the main constant for an otherwise struggling offense, putting together one of the finest rookie seasons at his position. He has 70 receptions for 706 yards and three TDs for the season. QB Sam Darnold and the Vikings look to win their fourth straight game and at least keep pace with Detroit in the NFC North. The second-place Vikings trail the Lions by a game in the NFC North. Chicago has dropped four in a row after losing to Green Bay last week on a blocked field goal as time expired. Darnold already has career highs in wins and touchdown passes and is on pace for career bests in passer rating, yards per game and completion percentage. Caleb Williams looked more comfortable against Green Bay in the first game with Thomas Brown as offensive coordinator after Shane Waldron was fired.
